Artist Front regards the privacy and security of member information as a critical component of the service that we offer to our members. The following information explains our information gathering and dissemination practices.
In order to use this website, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give their contact information such as name and email address. This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest. It is optional for the user to provide demographic information, but encouraged so we can provide a more personalized experience on our site.
If the user subscribes to a paying account, we request information from the user. The user must provide financial information like credit card number and expiration date. This information is used for billing purposes. If we have trouble processing a payment, the contact information collected at registration is used to get in touch with the user.
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
We use a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
Artist Front will only disclose personally identifiable data without a user's permission in the following limited circumstances: (1) if Artist Front is required to do so by law, or (2) if Artist Front has the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to applicable laws or comply with legal process served on Artist Front, or to protect and defend the rights or property of Artist Front or to enforce the Terms of Service.

In an effort to offer the most secure environment, Artist Front gives users the option to register and login using SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology, the industry standard for secure transactions. All of our employees are dedicated to maintaining and upholding users' privacy and security and are aware of our privacy and security policies. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect users' personal information, Artist Front cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information a user transmits to us from our online products or services, and a users does so at their own risk. Once we receive a user's transmission, we make our best efforts to ensure its security on our systems. This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - 128-bit SSL encryption. While on a secure page the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just 'surfing'. Inadequate or easy-to-guess passwords are one of the main security problems faced by Internet services. However, improving the security of passwords means using long and random passwords, which users often find difficult to remember. Our policy is that we do not force users to use difficult-to-remember passwords, but instead allow them to update their password at any time.
Site and Service Updates
We send the user site and service announcement updates. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as a zip code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user's personal data provided to us. This can usually be done using the account management functions of a user's account or by emailing our Customer Support
